freak city 3

Freak City 3 is up. Either a week late or right on time. I drew this one on the computer... I don't know how I feel about it.

"mackenzie schubert naked"

Made for a group poster project. Posters constructed from image search for "your name naked." I'm really not sure what's going on, I just put it together this morning. It might show.

I want to make more work in this style now, but maybe with a little less slop.

louisiana purchased logo

New logo for Louisiana Purchased. That isn't to say it's replacing an old logo, it just has one now. It might be a little too 1960s movie poster, or like my memory of the intro to honey I shrunk the kids. Anyway it's puke colored -- I'm not sure if this helps or hurts those associations.

The update is going to go up later this evening on Big Time Magazine. 2 days late! I had a paper to write Wednesday and then sleeping to do the following night, which isn't an excuse... except that it mostly is. Caitlin will be home in minutes, and after her stressful day at work I'll have her sit down and do some spell checking on the comic. I have been slipping up like crazy lately. I'd settle for bad grammar over what has been going up the last couple weeks.

P.S.

I was right last week when I said I wouldn't make a regular thing of throwing the strips up on Mondays.

Space Ships! Space Monsters! Part I

SS!SM! Part I of Nasa Monster is up. I'm a day late on this one... which is unfortunate and will not be a regular thing. Though I do have a paper to write this week.

I ended up coloring this one at the resolution it posted (not very high) because Caitlin's computer was so impressively low on hard drive space. Probably because I'm always coloring things on it. Hmm.

Freak City #2

Freak City #2 is up as of yesterday.

Only really spent two days on this one, but I think it came out a hell of a lot better than Louisiana Purchased. Trying to settle in on a way of working makes it much harder to gain any sort of consistency. I think I'm starting to fall into a pattern though. When I've got a format I like really set I'm going to have to go back and modify the others so they match (especially Freak City #1).

I have mixed feelings about the waterfalls.
