fence

Fences are very simple drawings

---
With an uncommon consistency, lines remain parallell for miles -- alternately breaking and joining landscape.
---
Despite size and an immense continuity these lengths are filled with small improvisations.

A broken branch adds support when slip between wires.

A tree is used in place of a post.

Rocks weigh lines so they conform to a streambed.

Yet these moments are inconsiquential in comparison to an overlying order, a requisite beginning, and an eventual destination.
---
Removing destination and origin allows a refrain from achievement. Posts and lines become improvisational.
---
There are lines, planes, and weight.
---
These works are very simple drawings.
