Where to find my work

Hey looks like I'm still getting a lot of page hits here. You can find my recent work at Mackenzieschubert.tumblr.com or plain-comics.tumblr.com and links to more things at mackenzieschubet.info

Everything I've got going on the internet (mostly)

Hey! I just realized how many people were still visiting this site and there haven't been many updates lately because I've mostly transitioned to a number of other web based locations. If you're interested in new work that's regularly updated head in the following directions...

PLAIN comics, featuring Louisiana Purchased & Space Monsters! Space Ships! It's also got a blog that perhaps updates too much & a shop (where I both sell prints and take commissions).

This is my still under construction portfolio website. It's got more Design work and sculpture than illustration/comics, but will be seeing an update one of these days.

ALSO... I'm @macschubert on twitter & mackenzieschubert on instagram (if you don't mind dog photos).

P.S. I had no idea I was getting comments! on here so I apologize for not responding to anyone. I'll remedy that TODAY.

Had to update a panel from SM!SS! for... something

It's better now. Also! Plain comics has been once again update, and feels like a real deal website now... or at least the home page does.

Slow going, but going none the less

Comin' together.

Sketches for the landing pages for...

Baltimore warmup sketch.

Well it's BPRD related this time.

SM!SS! Out of order panels

The Black Flame (warm up)

Ben Daimio (another hellboy drawing)

I've been re-reading BPRD in the hardbound editions. It's just as good as I remembered it being.

Morning warm up.

I've been doing warm ups every morning and just erasing them, but I thought I'd post them here instead as I start to transition a lot of the process work I'm doing over to the plain comics tumblr. As a related side note I'm going to start taking commissions if any one is interested 11x17 inkjet print for 40. If you're interested shoot me an email (macschubert@gmail.com) with what you'd like.

PLAIN COMICS!

It's been up for about a month and I've been posting an updating and stuff, but as of today Plain comics is running like a machine with almost enough oil. And it's going to get an update in the next several hours so it'll be even closer to adequate! I know, I know. Anyway. Go there for a new SM!SS! update.

Space monster

OK now we're going up tomorrow, and an LP update Friday. All the art for both is done though so... it's just the HTML that's worrying.

Panel contents... Cars and Trees.

Space Monsters! Space Ships!

I'm so close to getting Space Monsters broken down into chapters and up and running again, tomorrow I promise. In the meantime here's a sneak preview of what's going up. New stuff and a bit of retconing to increase, or establish some coherency. Then both it and LP will be running in a regular update format...

This is today's page...

And here's a bit of fixed previous panels...

*Brain Diagrams not to scale.

Quick Update

1) The store has a new print.

2) Plain comics the website has been updated. Specifically the main page and Louisiana Purchased Chapter One. On Monday We'll be going back to SM!SS! updates and should have the whole thing consistent across the board. Or the web. Or something.

3) I'm slowing updating my professional site -- read not this one -- there are only images right now, and those are mostly design but if you want to take a look head on over. It's going to get better in the next week approximately. Even incomplete it's a better look at what I've been up to than this blog.

4) I'm building a desk. No link.

5) This blog should get an update in the near future. It's going to split into the PLAIN comics blog (which doesn't even exist right now) and something... else. Both will make more sense than whatever is happening here right now.

SM!SS!

Today's update. Text to come.
